The float arm should just touch the float needle (not pushing hard). At this position the lowest part of the float should be 1 1/16 to 1 9/64, (1.06 to 1.14) from the carburetor face. The face refers to the seam that matches the float bowl joint.
If an adjustment is needed bend the needle contact tang. Too high gas level = rich mixture, too low gas level = lean mixture.
